This is my blog about all things musical. Here you will find bands and artists I like that you should be aware of. Bands and artists that you like but don’t see coverage anywhere else. And bands and artists you have heard of and will think to yourself “What’s that doing on here? They suck!” You’ll see Hardcore. You’ll see Punk, Metal, Indie and even a little Pop.
You know when you ask people “What type of music do you like?” and they give you a throw back answer on the lines of “I’m into all sorts.”?
Well I really do fit that cliché. Which you will discover from the material I post on this page. I’m lucky to be this way.
The beautiful thing about having an online blog is that I am not restricted to a word count. So I will aim to give you detailed reports of shows I go to, interviews I do and albums I listen to. So forgive me if I waffle too much.
Being based in Birmingham, I have seen the creation of a genuine music scene being built with many fantastic, hardworking and honest people being at the fundamental heart of it. I will write about shows and events taking place in this city which I feel don’t get credit they deserve.
I feel what is happening here, is taking place all over this country of ours. There are many deserving acts touring up and down the country from all over. Doing things the old-fashioned way. To counteract the current trend of bands sucking up to major labels in a degrading and embarrassing manner. You know the ones I mean.
This is my second purpose. To tell you about the people involved in this movement we have going. It really is underground. So many independent labels popping up and so many bands who are great and original doing what they know.
Oh. It’s not just about the UK. There are people like this all over the world. I will aim to get insight from them too.
